Dear Friends

I write to express our sincere thanks to you for the kind donation of Breadcakes for help with the homeless at William Booth House.

We appreciate your interest in the work of our Centre and it is clear by your donation that you have a feeling for the under privileged and often seen as undeserving within Society and it is good that you feel able to contribute towards our work in this way.

Homelessness takes on many guises. It is so easy to see a person on the streets as homeless and believe that to be the case. In our experience there are so many people who are “hidden homeless” who attend our Centre and will avail themselves of the opportunity of food and shelter. They are often marginalised, neither willing nor able to communicate lucidly their needs. We would like to believe that the sincere way in which we work alongside people goes some way in building up their personal self esteem, thus enabling them to activate change for themselves that will eventually lead to independent living.

Once again a sincere thank you.

Yours sincerely

Miriam Ellerington
Centre Manager
